Every two months, Lootcakes ranks the top YouTubers and streamers in two popular Dragon Ball mobile games (Dokkan Battle and Dragon Ball Legends) and highlights their notable recent content for your viewing pleasure.
Note: We recently switched our posting schedule from every month to every two months. This edition covers the two-month period ending 12/1.
#10: JPhanta
JPhanta is closing in on the 75k YouTube subscriber milestone, and he's currently on pace to get there in late December or early January. It would be a fitting way to ring in the new year! Drop by his Twitch channel for Dokkan Battle streams or see below for his most popular recent upload, in which he shares his complaints about some bugs in the game's Japanese version.
#9: Peti
Peti, a Dragon Ball Legends YouTuber, makes his third consecutive (and third-ever) appearance in our top 10. Unlike most of our other top 10 creators, Peti doesn't speak in his videos and instead lets his gameplay do the talking. See below to watch him showcase ranked PVP gameplay with a Super Saiyan team.
#8: ToonRami
ToonRami returns to our top 10 after a three period absence! This marks his third-ever top 10 appearance, and his second in 2021. See below for ToonRami's take on Demon King Mechikabura, one of the most popular units from the recent Dragon Ball Heroes banner in Dokkan Battle.
#7: Dokkan World

Will Dokkan World reach the 50k YouTube subscriber milestone before the end of the year? At his current pace, we wouldn't bet against him! Dokkan World's most popular recent upload (found below) is a showcase of two new units released on the Global version of Dokkan Battle: TEQ Caulifla & Kale, and INT Cabba.
#6: Ndukauba
Ndukauba recently tweeted his thoughts on the beta of a new Dragon Ball game called The Breakers. That said, we still expect Dragon Ball Legends to be his main focus on YouTube. Drop by Ndukauba's Twitch channel here or see below for his only video to break 200k views this period - a massive 20k crystal summoning session.
#5: Gaming Next Door

Gaming Next Door climbed three ranks in his second consecutive (and second-ever) top 10 finish. Compared to the previous period, he gained 1,600 more YouTube subscribers and 900k more video views. Will Gaming Next Door become a permanent fixture in our rankings? It's looking like a real possibility! In the video below, he shows off the characters he's unlocked in his Dragon Ball Legends account.
#4: Raiyuden
Raiyuden returns to our top 10 after a brief one-period absence. Since we last checked in, he decided to upgrade his desk to a larger one that can support three monitors. #3: Goresh
Goresh, who is fluent in both English and Japanese, frequently translates Japanese news and leaks in both Dokkan Battle and Dragon Ball Legends. Goresh's most recent upload to reach 100k views (found below) is a showcase of the buffed LF Super Vegito, an old legendary unit who recently received a Zenkai Awakening.
#2: DaTruthDT

DaTruthDT's six-period reign has come to an end. This was mainly due to his slowdown in new YouTube subscribers, finishing seventh in this category among our top 10. DaTruthDT recently had knee surgery. We wish him a full and speedy recovery! He hasn't stopped uploading videos during his recovery. See below for a recent collab he recorded with the new #1, Nanogenix.
#1: Nanogenix
Nanogenix reclaims the #1 spot in our rankings - his first time wearing the crown since the fall of 2020! This is only the second time in a year that a creator other than DaTruthDT has finished #1 (the last being third-ranked Goresh seven periods ago). Did you catch Nano's recent Twitch streamathon? Please note, N/A means the creator did not broadcast a video in the tracked games on the applicable platform during the relevant period. Since any views they did achieve were for other games, we chose not to count them here. A dash (-) means the creator does not have an account on any relevant platforms in the associated category.
Scoring System:
Each edition, we begin by compiling a list of the top 20 Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle and Dragon Ball Legends YouTubers (in the English language) based on their most-viewed new upload (during the current period) related to any of these games. To qualify, at least 75% of their videos in related games (during the current period) must contain self-created gameplay or game-related commentary (i.e. created directly by the YouTuber as opposed to clips sourced from third parties).
Creators from the above list are then awarded 0-100 points in each of four categories: (1) total views of their newly uploaded YouTube videos related to these games, (2) new YouTube subscribers, (3) new Twitch channel views plus new YouTube stream views related to these games, and (4) new Twitch followers. The data from these categories is sourced from YouTube and Socialblade. Points are calculated according to the following steps:
(1) For each category, total points available are calculated by multiplying 100 by a fraction: the total number of creators active on the relevant platform (numerator) divided by the total number of creators on the list (denominator). 'Active' in the New YouTube Subscribers category refers to creators who uploaded at least one related game video AND generated 100 or more subscribers during the current period. 'Active' in the New YouTube Views category refers to creators who uploaded at least one related game video during the current period. 'Active' in the New Twitch Followers category is defined as having streamed at least one related game on Twitch during the current period AND generated 100 or more Twitch followers. 'Active' in the New Stream Views category is defined as having streamed at least one related game on Twitch or YouTube during the current period. For example, if 18 of 20 creators are considered 'Active' in the New YouTube Subscribers category, then 90 points are available in that category (i.e. 18/20 = .9 x 100 = 90).
(2) Points awarded to a creator in each category are then calculated by multiplying the results of step (1) by a fraction: the creator's individual performance in that category (numerator) divided by the total performance of all creators on the list in that category (denominator). Continuing the example from (1), a creator with 100,000 New YouTube Subscribers out of 1,000,000 from all ranked creators on the list would receive 9 points in that category (i.e. 100,000/1,000,000 = .1 x 90 = 9).
(3) Points calculated from each category are then totaled to determine the creator's final score.
