Family Drama often occurs during the holidays. For Clash Royale's top clan family, this holiday was no exception, as a surprising family member seized the throne!

Each edition we profile the top 5 global clans in Clash Royale and explore their changes in trophies and leaderboard ranks over the prior month. This edition was updated on 12/29.

#5: Gladiators

Trophies: 51,098

Gladiators is the first of two newcomers to our clan rankings. This Italian clan has been sniffing around the top 5 for a while, and finally broke through. Congratulazioni! Members of Gladiators and Nova I NA, this period's other newcomer, were extremely generous this period; when it comes to average card donations per week, they blew away the competition!

#4: Nova I 紫禁之巅

Trophies: 51,565

Change in Rank: -2

Nova China is one of three ranked Nova family clans this period. While the family's overall domination continues to impress, both Nova China and Nova eSports slipped two ranks after posting lower than average trophy gains. Each gained over 1,600 trophies, while their fellow ranked clans posted over 2,000. Perhaps they took some well-deserved holiday vacation days?

#3: Nova eSports

Trophies: 51,581

Nova eSports is the family's "main" clan, and often uses their Twitter account to highlight their players. Follow them here! Fun fact: The most recent Legend League champion, GuaNek™, has two accounts. On his main account, each season he moves between Nova eSports and #5 ranked Gladiators. He spends the beginning of the season in Gladiators and moves to Nova eSports for the end-of-season push.
